Children's Ministry

Sunday School - Sundays 9:30-10:30 am September to May

Three years ago, we began teaching Sunday School using the Workshop Rotation Model. We use this model to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops. Park Productions, Rainbow Garden, Park Rangers, and Sound Bits are the names of our four rooms. We will teach the same Bible story in all rooms for four weeks, rotating the children to a different room and a different activity each week. The children will remain with their age-related groups as they rotate through the rooms.

Child Care

Child care is provided for newborns through
age 2 in the Nursery on the main floor of the
Education Wing from 8:15 am until 12:15 pm.

Quality care for two-year-olds through age 3-1/2
is provided in the Toddler Room adjacent to the
Nursery from 8:15 am until 12:15 pm.

Children's Church

Following the Children’s Moments at both the 8:30 am
and the 11:00 am services, the children are invited
to go to Children’s Church in the Noakes Hall (formerly
West Fellowship Hall). Children (three years old to third
grade) are welcomed by trained staff members who lead
them in a special children's worship service and learning
centers on Bible stories and liturgy.

 

Vacation Bible School

 

Every summer, a one-week program for children ages four through fifth grade is held. Last summer's theme was "High Seas Expedition," and the children went on a vast voyage through God's Word as they participated in memorable Bible-learning activities, sang catchy songs, played teamwork-building games, dug into yummy treats, and created Bible Point crafts.

 

Kindermusik & Instrument Lessons

We have music, voice, and keyboard  instruction for children from birth through elementary school. Imagine a place filled with music, laughter, hugs and smiles, where you can grow together with your child. You will explore rhythm, melody, listening and movement. The classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For more information, visit www.achildsong.com.
