Children's Ministry

Sunday School - Sundays 9:30-10:30 am September to May

Two years ago, we began teaching Sunday School using the Workshop Rotation Model. We use this model to teach major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops. Park Productions, Rainbow Garden, Park Rangers, and Sound Bits are the names of our four rooms. We will teach the same Bible story in all rooms for four weeks, rotating the children to a different room and a different activity each week. The children will remain with their age-related groups as they rotate through the rooms.

Child Care

Child care is provided for newborns (until they are potty trained) in the
 Nursery on the main floor of the Education Wing from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm
Quality care for infants through three years of age is also provided during
Sunday School (9:15-10:30 am).

Children's Church

Following the Children’s Moments at both the 8:30 am and the 11:00 am

services, the children are invited to go to Children’s Church in the West Fellowship Hall. Children (three years old to third grade) are

welcomed by trained staff members who lead them in a special children's worship service and learning centers on Bible stories and liturgy.

 

Vacation Bible School

 

Every summer, a one-week program for children ages four through fifth grade
is held. This year's theme was "Crocodile Dock,"  based around a bayou theme
including a "Swamp Stomp" and other fun activities. Dates were June 14-18.
Dates for 2011 will be announced next spring. 

 

Kindermusik

We have music, voice, and keyboard  instruction for children from birth
through elementary school. Imagine a place filled with music, laughter, hugs
and smiles, where you can grow together with your child. You will explore
rhythm, melody, listening and movement. The classes are held on Tuesdays
