Adult Education

Adult Sunday School - Meets for learning and
discussion on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., September through May.
- Adult Forum (Bryans Room) - Adults of all ages are
welcome. Guest speakers are arranged each week. Facilitators
are Jim Fleet and Wilbur Moulton.

- Journeys in Faith (Journeys in Faith Room)
- Short-term presentations, four to five weeks, covering
a variety of topics in relation to our faith. Class is pictured at right. Facilitator is Rev. Debby
Lawrence.
- Cornerstone II (East Parlor) - This class will be geared
to parents with young children. Family topics will be discussed with
an emphasis on sharing and fellowship. Led by Melane Thielen.
- Open Conversation (Wesley Lounge)
- A class for adults seeking a richer understanding of issues in
contemporary Christian practices and theology. Led by Iliff
intern Mary MacDonald.
- Osborne Group (Osborne Parlor) -
Deals with subjects important to those trying to make biblical
truths
vivid and relevant for today's world. Meets every Sunday
at 9:30 am. Geared towards ages 18-29, but open to all. Led by
Rev. Ryan Canaday.
- Exploration Class "UPark & You" - This class is designed for
seekers and searchers, and is given several times a year
for visitors and persons new to University Park UMC or to United
Methodism. The
five- or six-week sequence explores the historical and
doctrinal roots of the United Methodist Church and UPark's mission
in the community and the world. Led by Rev. Paul Kottke and Rev. Debby
Lawrence.

Disciple Bible Studies
From time to time, we offer the series
of DISCIPLE Bible Studies. The next study will be a Short-Term DISCIPLE Study on
the Book of Romans led by Student Pastor Patrick Lewis. The class will meet on
Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm beginning January 5. If you would like to

Religion & Life Book Studies
From time to time,
the church takes part in book studies which last approximately six weeks. The
next anticipated series will be in the spring.
Pastor's Bible Study
This Bible Study meets Fridays at noon from September through
May, in the Conference Room. This informal Bible study is based on the weekly
sermon. See the bulletin for the coming Sunday where the text is
listed.
