Mission Trips

Our fourth and final mission trip to New Orleans took place in early April 2011. The team performed repair projects
for those in the parish of St. Peter Claver Church. Contact Rev. Debby Lawrence at 303/722-5736 or
dlawrence@universityparkumc.org if you would like to participate in future mission trips to New Orleans or
elsewhere within the U.S. or South America.

In New Orleans, our first Mission Team helped Miss Angela repair water damage to her home.
In return, she fed us crawdad étouffée and other New Orleans goodies. [See photo to left,

Our first mission trip to Guatemala was November 28-December 5, 2009.
Led by UPark member George Gramer, a team of 13 delivered medical supplies and OTC
medicines to Quetzaltenango. The team also worked on a dormitory
for a school. It was a beautiful country and a rewarding experience,
and the follow-up trip will be November 26 to December 4, 2011. Plans
are being made at the present time and we welcome new missioners.

Call George Gramer if you have interest or questions: 303/993-8502.
